According to Baldeo Purushartha, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh has to compete with 23 other cities in this phase. So it needs to add to the smart city proposal and become eligible for funding in 2016-17.
“The MC needs more inputs to make the proposal more credible. MyGov is a portal provided by government of India for citizen engagement. We appeal to the citizens of Chandigarh to share their ideas and be an integral part of the journey towards making Chandigarh a smart city.
For sharing ideas, the citizens will have to visit http://mygov.in/group-issue/chandigarh-smart-city-proposal/ and go through ‘Chandigarh Smart City Proposal’ in detail, which includes observations of the expert panel, and submit suggestions by March 18, 2016,” said Purushartha.
The final proposal will be submitted to the MoUD by April 15, 2016.
Suggestions can be sent at firstname.lastname@example.org or written suggestions can be submitted to the commissioner.
